Kids Week

kids weekIt’s time for another themed week on Appstruck. For our last themed week we checked out sport apps, so we let our thumbs do all the dirty work by playing football and rolling bowling balls, but this time around we feel like something a bit more, I guess you could say, childish? We’ve received a small flurry of kid apps over the past few weeks, so we thought the time was ripe for another round of childish antics. For our faithful followers, I’m sure you remember our first kids week ages ago, where we highlighted several apps that eventually became some of the most successful in the App store – apps like The Little Red Hen and Peekaboo Barn. For anyone who reads my writing, it’s pretty easy to ascertain I have a soft spot for the wee ones – or at least, just their apps. I was happy to discover a developer team called ToyLabs who loved kids apps as much as I do, and I was fortunate enough to nab an interview with them, where we talked about inter-office shenanigans, the making of Balloonimals, and how kids apps can have endless appeal.

For parents, kids, or just 25 cum 8 year olds (*points to self*), there are plenty of promising kids apps to suit any longing you may have, whether it’s educational, motor-skill nurturing, or just plain fun. This week look forward to apps like Peekaboo Zoo, Hidden Stories, Elmo’s MonsterMaker and more on Appstruck. Share them with your kids, or just enjoy them all by yourself.
