We’ve been so game-oriented lately, haven’t we? We like our games here on Appstruck.

But, on to new things, shall we? I had a glorious Saturday this past weekend hiking the many hills and valleys of Point Reyes, located roughly 45 minutes from here in Petaluma. Trudging and sweating along these trails with my other half, and two of our friends, it occurred to me that Asif, David and I had agreed last week to focus on outdoor apps. Fancy that. Outside Magazine has done their fair share of showcasing stellar outdoor apps on the glossy back pages of their popular magazine, and the New York Times writes an app feature here and there, one lately on Accuterra – a trail-finding app. Now, it’s time for us to roll up our sleeves, sort through the nitty gritty, and write detailed examinations on those that are truly worth downloading. Don’t worry, we’re experts at digging.

So, this week look forward to anything rugged. Strap on some mountain boots, wear a pink bandanna, and grow out your beard. And, certainly, don’t forget the bug spray.
